Nerve wrap aims to ease shoulder pain after cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07268092

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether wrapping a nerve in the neck with a protective material (made from pig tissue) can help preserve shoulder movement and reduce disability after surgery to remove head and neck cancer. About 74 adults who have not had prior neck surgery will be enrolled. The study is currently suspended, and its goal is to see if the wrap prevents shoulder problems that often occur after this type of surgery.
