Summary
This study tested whether a non-invasive nerve stimulation device could help prevent severe lung injury in people recently hospitalized for mild-to-moderate traumatic brain injury. Patients received either standard hospital care alone or standard care plus the stimulation device. The main goal was to see if the device could reduce the need for a breathing machine (ventilator) and improve survival over 30 days.
