First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks (lumbar/sacral plexus block vs. fascia iliaca block) combined with low-dose spinal anesthesia in 60 elderly patients undergoing femoral neck fracture surgery. The goal is to see which method better prevents severe drops in blood pressure during surgery and improves pain control afterward. Participants are adults aged 18-90 with an ASA score of I-IV, excluding those with allergies, bleeding disorders, or high BMI.
