New nerve block may slash pain after brain surgery

Summary
This study tests whether a numbing injection (bupivacaine) into a nerve cluster in the face can reduce pain after minimally invasive pituitary tumor surgery. About 108 adults will receive either the nerve block, a placebo, or no extra injection during surgery. Researchers will track pain levels and the need for painkillers in the first 24 hours after the operation.
