Nerve block may sharpen Surgeon's view and cut pain in brain tumor surgery

NCT ID NCT07569952

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether an ultrasound-guided nerve block (sphenopalatine ganglion block) can improve the surgical field and reduce pain in patients having pituitary tumor surgery through the nose. About 70 adults aged 21–60 will be randomly assigned to receive the nerve block plus general anesthesia or general anesthesia alone. The goal is to see if the block leads to less bleeding during surgery and better pain control afterward.
