Summary
This study tested whether pentoxifylline, a drug used for blood flow issues, can reduce kidney damage caused by cisplatin chemotherapy in head and neck cancer patients. 90 adults receiving their first cisplatin treatment took part. Researchers measured kidney injury markers and function to see if pentoxifylline offers protection.
