New drug combo could shrink skin cancer before surgery

NCT ID NCT06418724

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving two drugs (a PD-1 inhibitor and an EGFR inhibitor) before surgery can shrink advanced skin cancer tumors enough to make surgery easier or even unnecessary. About 27 adults with borderline resectable skin cancer will receive up to 4 cycles of the drug combination. The goal is to see if the tumors become smaller or disappear completely.
