First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking hormone-blocking pills for 6 months before surgery helps remove all cancer cells in one piece for women with early-stage, estrogen-positive breast cancer. Eight postmenopausal women with low-risk tumors are participating. The goal is to see if this approach leads to cleaner surgical margins and less need for additional treatments.
