WAR WOUND TREATMENT MAY RAISE CHRONIC PAIN RISK

NCT ID NCT07475897

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether negative pressure wound therapy (a vacuum device used to help heal severe war wounds) is linked to ongoing pain six months after injury. Researchers will follow 150 adults with war-related soft tissue injuries to track pain levels and other factors like nerve damage. The goal is to identify early signs that predict chronic pain, so doctors can better prevent and treat it.
