New bandage may cut infections after leg skin grafts

Summary
This study tests whether a special vacuum bandage (negative pressure wound therapy) can prevent infections better than standard dressings after skin grafts on the lower leg. About 242 adults who have a skin tumor removed and need a skin graft will take part. The bandage is applied right after surgery and patients are followed for three months to check for infection and healing.
