Can a maintenance drug stop IgA kidney disease relapse?

NCT ID NCT07604311

First seen Jun 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether a low dose of Nefecon (8 mg) can prevent proteinuria relapse in people with IgA nephropathy who have already responded to treatment. About 288 adults who completed 9 months of Nefecon therapy and have low protein levels will take either Nefecon or a placebo for 15 months. The goal is to see if maintenance therapy keeps the disease under control and delays kidney damage.
