First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 02, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested if a high-flow nasal system (AIRVO 2) can deliver the bronchodilator salbutamol as effectively as a standard mask for people with COPD. 25 adults with COPD and reversible airway blockage took part. The goal was to see if the new method works just as well at improving lung function.
