New study aims to improve inhaler therapy for lung fungus patients

NCT ID NCT07530263

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at how well an inhaled antifungal drug (liposomal amphotericin B) reaches the lungs in people with chronic pulmonary aspergillosis, a long-term lung infection. About 18 adults will receive two different doses on separate days, then have special scans to see where the drug goes in the lungs. The goal is to find the best dose and delivery method to improve treatment.
