Sound waves vs. seizures: new hope for Drug-Resistant epilepsy?

Summary

This study tests a device called NaviFUS™ that uses low-intensity focused ultrasound to calm overactive brain areas causing seizures. It is for adults with epilepsy that does not respond to medication. The goal is to see if this treatment can safely reduce seizure frequency. Sixteen participants will be randomly assigned to receive the treatment or continue standard care.
