10-Year study tracks hidden DNA changes that could lead to blood cancer

NCT ID NCT04102423

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study follows 306 adults with CHIP or CCUS—conditions where DNA changes in blood cells raise the risk of blood cancers or heart disease. Over 10 years, researchers will track participants with yearly check-ups, blood tests, and scans to see how these changes evolve. The goal is to better predict and understand these risks, not to test a treatment.
