Could sunlight help prevent Post-Surgery confusion?
NCT ID NCT05936944
Summary
This study looked at whether exposure to natural light versus artificial light affects the risk of delirium (sudden confusion) after heart surgery. Researchers observed 448 adult patients undergoing heart surgery, comparing those in rooms with natural light to those in rooms with only artificial light. The goal was to see if the type of lighting influences how often this common post-surgery complication occurs.
