Sunlight vs. surgery confusion: a simple hospital fix?

NCT ID NCT05936944

Summary

This study looked at whether letting natural sunlight into hospital rooms could help prevent delirium, a common state of sudden confusion, in patients recovering from heart surgery. Researchers compared 448 patients in rooms with natural light to a previous group in rooms with only artificial light. They tracked how many patients developed delirium to see if the type of lighting made a difference.
