Researchers launch major study to unravel mysteries of muscle inflammation

Summary
This study aims to collect medical information and biological samples (like blood, muscle, and skin) from 500 people aged 12 and older who have or may have inflammatory muscle disease, as well as healthy volunteers. The goal is to better understand what causes these diseases, how they progress, and how to improve diagnosis and treatment. Participants will undergo exams, MRI scans, and optional biopsies during one or more clinic visits.
