First seen Dec 11, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding N-acetylcysteine (NAC) to standard root canal treatment reduces pain and improves healing in people with infected teeth and bone loss. Forty adults with dead teeth and signs of infection around the root tip will receive either NAC or standard medication inside the tooth. Researchers will measure pain levels and bone healing over six months.
