Fibroid surgery before IVF: a Game-Changer for fertility?
NCT ID NCT07578623
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether surgically removing uterine fibroids (myomectomy) before in vitro fertilization (IVF) helps more women have a baby. It includes about 792 women under 40 with infertility and specific fibroids (4-6 cm, not distorting the uterine cavity). Half will have fibroid removal before IVF, and the other half will go straight to IVF, with the main goal being to compare live birth rates within one year.
