First seen May 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested whether MYOBLOC, a botulinum toxin type B injection, can safely reduce muscle stiffness in the lower legs of adults who developed spasticity after a stroke, brain injury, or spinal cord injury. The trial planned to enroll about 40 participants but was terminated early. Researchers measured changes in muscle tone and overall function four weeks after a single injection.
