Experimental drug cocktail tested to fight returning blood cancer
NCT ID NCT03361306
Summary
This study tested an experimental combination of four drugs (elotuzumab, carfilzomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone) for adults with multiple myeloma that had returned or stopped responding to one prior treatment. The goal was to see how well this four-drug mix could control the cancer and for how long. After an initial intensive treatment phase, participants continued on a lower-dose maintenance therapy to try to keep the cancer from progressing.
