Short activity bursts may boost movement in stroke survivors

NCT ID NCT06597929

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether encouraging short, intense bursts of everyday activity (like brisk walking) plus health education could help stroke survivors be more physically active. 36 adults aged 50+ who had a stroke and lived at home took part. Researchers measured their activity levels with a waist-worn monitor for 7 days.
