Summary
This study tested two simple, drug-free methods to reduce the pain of needle insertion for patients on dialysis. 75 patients were randomly assigned to either listen to calming music, look at a mirror showing their healthy arm, or receive standard care during the procedure. Researchers measured pain levels immediately after to see which method worked better.
