First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a 6-week music class (including drumming and rhythm exercises) can improve mental and physical health in older adults living in residential care. About 60 participants will attend weekly one-hour sessions and complete surveys before and after. The goal is to see if music reduces stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, and helps people use music as a coping tool.
