New research: your hip muscle balance may predict how you break a hip
NCT ID NCT07443046
Summary
This study aimed to understand if the balance of muscles around the hip is connected to the specific way a hip breaks in older adults. Researchers looked at CT scans from 79 people aged 60+ who had a hip fracture from a simple fall. They measured different muscles to see if certain patterns were linked to different fracture types, hoping this knowledge could help with future prevention and recovery plans.
