Can one lens replace your reading glasses? new study tests multifocals for aging eyes
NCT ID NCT07218731
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at how people over 40 with presbyopia (age-related blurry near vision) feel about wearing multifocal contact lenses compared to regular contact lenses plus reading glasses. About 30 participants will try both options and say which they prefer. The goal is to see if multifocals offer a more convenient way to see clearly at all distances without needing separate reading glasses.
