Summary
This study looked at the long-term safety and effects of using a patient's own stem cells to treat liver cirrhosis caused by hepatitis B, C, or fatty liver disease. 700 adults with compensated cirrhosis were followed after receiving the therapy. Researchers measured liver stiffness, liver enzyme levels, and kidney function to see if the treatment helped control the disease.
