Summary

This study tested a one-time infusion of stem cells (mesenchymal stromal cells) in 20 adults with severe lung failure caused by COVID-19. The goal was to see if the treatment improved oxygen levels within a week compared to a placebo. The trial is complete, but results are not yet published.
