Drugs tested to steady wobbly vision in MS patients

NCT ID NCT01744444

Summary

This small study tested two existing drugs, gabapentin and memantine, to see if they could reduce a specific symptom of multiple sclerosis (MS) called pendular nystagmus. Pendular nystagmus causes involuntary, shaking eye movements that can blur vision and cause dizziness. The trial involved 10 adults with MS to measure how well each drug reduced the eye movements and improved vision-related quality of life.
