MS eye shaking treatment trial shows promise

NCT ID NCT01744444

Summary

This study tested two existing medications, gabapentin and memantine, to see if they could reduce involuntary eye movements (called pendular nystagmus) in people with multiple sclerosis. Researchers worked with 10 patients to measure how well the drugs improved eye stability, vision clarity, and daily life impact. The goal was to find the best way to measure treatment success and compare which medication worked better for this specific vision problem.
