Brain scans may predict MS disability years in advance

NCT ID NCT05633875

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether special brain scans (MRI and PET) can predict how multiple sclerosis (MS) will affect a person's disability over many years. Researchers will follow 80 adults with MS who were in earlier studies to see if certain brain changes can forecast worsening symptoms. The goal is to find better ways to measure and understand MS progression, not to test a new treatment.
