New MRI tech aims for sharper, gentler breast cancer radiation
NCT ID NCT05731791
Summary
This study is testing whether a newer, MRI-guided radiation therapy system is as effective as the current standard CT-guided system for treating early-stage breast cancer. It will enroll 17 women who have had breast-conserving surgery to see if the MRI-guided approach offers better long-term control of the cancer and causes fewer side effects. Patients will be followed for up to 10 years to compare recurrence rates and cosmetic outcomes between the two methods.
