New MRI tech aims for more precise, gentler breast cancer radiation

NCT ID NCT05731791

Summary

This study is testing if a newer, MRI-guided radiation therapy system is as good as the current standard CT-guided system for treating early-stage breast cancer. It will compare how often the cancer comes back and the side effects, like skin problems and cosmetic changes, between the two methods. The goal is to see if the MRI system can deliver radiation more precisely, potentially leading to fewer side effects and better long-term results.
