New MRI method may spot bladder cancer without dye

NCT ID NCT05783271

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether a type of MRI that does not require a contrast dye (called biparametric MRI) can accurately diagnose bladder cancer and tell if it has spread into the muscle. Researchers will compare this simpler scan to the standard contrast MRI in 58 adults suspected of having bladder cancer. If successful, it could offer a safer, faster, and more accessible diagnostic option.
