MRI scans reveal hidden success of late cleft palate repair
NCT ID NCT07514091
First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study will use MRI scans to see how well the palate and throat muscles work after a new type of cleft palate repair surgery. Ten people who have not had early treatment will receive the surgery, which uses cheek muscle to close the gap. Six months later, MRI scans and speech tests will check if the repair improves muscle closure and speech.
