Turning MRI fear into fun: new 'Underwater' training helps kids skip sedation
NCT ID NCT07344753
Summary
This study is testing a new, game-like training program designed to help children aged 3 to 6 have an MRI scan without needing sedation or general anesthesia. The program uses an immersive, underwater-themed experience to help kids practice staying still and getting used to the scanner's noise and confined space. Researchers want to see if this training helps more children successfully complete their MRI on the first try, which could reduce wait times and stress for families.
