Underwater adventure helps kids conquer scary MRI scans
NCT ID NCT07344753
Summary
This study is testing a new, playful training program designed to help young children (ages 3-6) complete an MRI scan without needing sedation or general anesthesia. Children practice the challenging parts of an MRI—like loud noises and staying still in a tunnel—through a fun, underwater-themed immersive experience. The goal is to see if this training helps more kids successfully get their MRI on the first try, reducing wait times and avoiding the stress of sedation.
