First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at frozen ovarian tissue from 9 young women with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) to see if any leukemia cells remained after they reached remission. The goal was to understand the risk of re-introducing cancer if the tissue is later used for fertility. No treatment was given; it was purely an observation study.
