First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at ovarian tissue from 9 young women with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who had it frozen to preserve fertility before a stem cell transplant. The goal was to see if any leukemia cells remained in the tissue after the cancer was in remission. The findings help doctors understand the safety of using this frozen tissue for future pregnancy attempts.
