First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests the MVA-BN mpox vaccine in 344 infants and children aged 4 to 24 months in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a high-risk area. Half receive a full dose and half a half dose, both given as two shots 28 days apart. The goal is to see if the vaccine is safe and produces a strong immune response in young children, and whether a half dose works as well as a full dose.
