Online talks boost smoking quit intent in lung cancer patients

Summary

This study tested whether online video conversations with a counselor could increase the desire to quit smoking in people with lung cancer. 42 patients who smoked took part. The approach used motivational interviewing, a supportive style of conversation, to strengthen their intention to stop smoking.
