First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at 24 national-level male rowers to see how their motivation and body chemistry change during intense exercise. Participants completed a motivation questionnaire, performed a 6000-meter rowing test, and gave blood samples before, right after, and one hour after exercise. Researchers measured hormones and brain chemicals like testosterone, cortisol, serotonin, and dopamine to understand how they relate to performance and recovery.
