First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at how people's immune systems react to mosquito saliva after being bitten. Researchers wanted to find markers in the blood that show if someone has been exposed to mosquitoes that carry malaria or dengue. The goal is to use these markers to better track and predict disease outbreaks in Southeast Asia. 147 healthy adults from Thailand took part in the study.
