NCT ID NCT07207200

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether one hour of morning light therapy each day for four weeks can improve sleep and reduce gut inflammation in 30 adults with ulcerative colitis who have active inflammation and poor sleep. Participants wear a sleep tracker, complete surveys, and provide blood and stool samples before and after the light therapy. The goal is to see if resetting the body's internal clock can ease IBD symptoms.
