This study tested whether the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a short mental quiz, can reliably detect cognitive impairment in adults with sickle cell disease. Researchers compared MoCA results with a full set of detailed thinking tests in 65 participants. The goal is to find a faster way to identify patients who may need extra support.
