Phone app fights cancer pain for Hard-to-Reach patients

NCT ID NCT04175639

Summary

This study tested whether a special mobile app and video coaching program could help breast cancer patients in underserved areas better manage their pain. The program taught coping skills through four video sessions with a therapist and a simple app for daily support at home. Researchers compared it to a basic health education app to see which was better at reducing pain, fatigue, and distress.
