Scientists check Mom's milk after MMR shot

NCT ID NCT02325310

Summary

This study aimed to see if the weakened measles virus from the MMR vaccine shows up in the breast milk of new mothers who get vaccinated. Researchers followed 14 breastfeeding women who were not immune to measles or rubella. They collected breast milk and urine samples to test for the vaccine virus and monitored both mothers and babies for any symptoms.
