Heart valve repair device shows how hearts reshape after treatment
NCT ID NCT02924363
First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at how the MitraClip device changes the heart's shape and function in 54 people with severe mitral regurgitation (a leaky heart valve). Researchers used heart MRI and ultrasound before the procedure, right after, and 6 months later. The goal was to understand how the heart remodels after the valve is repaired, not to test the device itself.
