Heart disease trial tests power of cellular antioxidant
NCT ID NCT05410873
Summary
This study tested whether a supplement called MitoQ could improve heart function in people with dilated cardiomyopathy, a condition where the heart muscle is weakened. Over 100 participants were randomly assigned to receive either MitoQ or a placebo for several months. Researchers used heart scans and blood tests to see if reducing cellular stress could help the heart work better.
